What's Ahead

I’ll be discussing both the most intimate and traumatic moments of my life and the connection it has created to depression and PTSD. As a 30-something-year-old, black, queer, femme, therapist who has, quite frankly, been through a lot of trauma. Most times, if I’ve ever discussed writing a book, I’ve started by saying I’ve been through a lot of shit.

I know most of us feel this about our lives, but even after growing up, when I look at my childhood and how trauma has linked, it has led me to help prepare and create a better life for myself. In short, this is what this book is for. I am a storyteller, therapist, and deep empath. I don’t often get to share much about myself in the room as you may imagine. Through speaking engagements and storytelling events, I have begun to share a story that I’d love to share in its entirety.
